Construction Update
Bradford VT 25B Bridge Project

Project Location: Bradford Bridge 1 spans across the Waits River, which is located about two-tenths of a mile from VT 25 intersection.

Bridge Closure Period – Bridge 1 on VT 25B will remain closed to all traffic thru September 8th, 2017.

Detour – An offsite detour for vehicles is in effect and marked with signs. VT 25B thru traffic will be directed to use VT Route 25 and US Route 5 as a detour route around the project. 

Project construction updates will be issued bi-weekly throughout the closure period. The next update will be issued on August 24th.

Progress Update – July 28th, 2017 to August 10th, 2017

During the first half of August, crews completed some landscaping around the site and completed a trial pour of the deck concrete.   A third crane was delivered and erected in anticipation of setting the steel beams.   The steel beams for the new bridge were delivered to the project the week of August 7th and crews started to set them Thursday, August 10th.

Work plan for August 11th, 2017 thru August 24th, 2017

Crews will continue setting the steel beams and forming the bridge deck for concrete placement.

It is illegal in VT to use any handheld portable electronic devices while driving. The law carries fines of up to $200 with points assessed if the violation occurs in a work zone.
